Hello! I'm Sarah Nicole Edwards. I have always loved cooking and eating, and have been a passionate home-cook since I was a teenager. I think my cooking style reflects the melting pot that London is- I love Middle Eastern, Asian and Mediterranean flavours and finding ways to marry them together. I am a big believer in the farm-to-table philosophy and aim to work with local, organic producers and suppliers as much as possible.
Over the past few years, I have been on a bit of a journey with regards to my own thinking about food and what living a healthy lifestyle means to me.
My story starts from my teenage years, when I started yo-yo dieting. I had strong cravings, I counted calories one day and ate everything in sight the next and I regularly felt tired and lethargic. My relationship with food was very much linked to my weight, and had little to do with eating to nourish myself and to feel satisfied.
It was only later in life that I came to understand more about focusing on health rather than my weight and begun thinking more holistically about eating well. I adjusted the way I was cooking and this sparked my passion for using seasonal whole foods to create nourishing recipes that are also full of flavour.
Fast forward to today and I feel far healthier, with more energy and a stronger immune system in my thirties then I had in my twenties. Eventually this led me to study to be a health coach with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, so I can support others to find a way of eating and living that is healthy and sustainable for them. I have a background in Psychology and Coaching which is all about behaviour change, and I use that to support people to make gradual, healthy shifts. I share my advice for developing healthy habits that my clients have found most useful over on The Blog.
